Overview
Foundation in Information Technology programme is exclusively designed for fresh school leavers as the beginning of their successful educational journey. The programme’s main objectives are to provide students with a solid understanding of fundamental IT concepts, including computer systems, programming, and networking, while fostering analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. It prepares students for advanced studies in IT-related fields, emphasizing mathematical reasoning, software development principles, and digital literacy. The programme also focuses on professional readiness by developing teamwork, communication, and ethical awareness, ensuring students can navigate the societal impacts of technology. Additionally, it encourages adaptability, lifelong learning, and personal growth, laying a strong foundation for both academic success and entry-level roles in the IT industry. Students must complete 50 credit hours with a minimum CGPA of 2.00. The programme operates in the UNISEL Bestari Jaya Campus.

Entry Requirements
Open to all local and international students with the requirements below:
- Passed Malaysian Certificate of Education (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia – SPM)/O-Level with a minimum of 5 credits in any subject including Mathematics; OR
- Passed UEC with at least B Grade in any 3 subjects including Mathematics; OR
- Any other equivalent qualification recognized by the Malaysian Government.

- FREE tuition fees – Foundation programme scholarship (Biasiswa Program Asas)

Many students who complete the Foundation in Information Technology programme pursue a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Multimedia or other computing-related studies.
